Found some nice looking bows and about 20 arrows in the junk. I know little about them, so any info would be appreciated.

Looks as if they are both old Bears. 25-30 years ago those were great Bows. For the time period some of the best. Back then PSE was a big competitor.

Compared to some of today's bows? They are not of the same caliber in performance and accuracy. But still a great find. Especially for free!! I love free!

Those old wooden limb bows can de laminate and come apart in a very explosive fashion. Old strings need replacement also. Waxed at the very least.

This is coming from a guy who had an old browning wooden limb bow let go on me at full draw. I almost lost my ear that day. Definitely lost a pair of boxers.

My advice is save the arrows and use the 1 bow with fiberglass limbs. No offense but there may be a reason they are in the trash. 1 dry fire and those limbs can crack. Use a cotton ball and run it all over both of them. If it catches anywhere. ..trash it. Splinters.....including the fiberglass one...means trouble brewing.

Take em to an archery shop and get em inspected for a 2nd opinion also.

I'm all for free....but I'm all for safety too.

they really dont have any value which is probably why they are in the trash but can still be fun if they arent cracked. Good for plinking around in the yard.
