38D9DC7E-869B-4BD7-83B4-2CA22BA91BD4.jpeg Hello and thank you for having me. Been cutting and heating with wood for years, Some years more than others. I started with a Husky 42 and picked up a Sthil 290 and Efco 392 c used from a fella from work. The Efco is a nice light top handle that gets used a lot.
I decided it was time for a bigger saw and have been checking out Echo for the last few months and decided the cs620p was it. Just so happened that there is a dealer 15 minutes from my place. I got the saw 15% off, I think a payed around $430 for it. I have only ran it five minutes, seems quite snappy, I plan on getting a load or two this weekend.

Nice. Welcome to the forum Scout80. Having the dealer close to your home is great. I think most folks are doing well if they buy from a local dealer.

Welcome to the forum James. I see you run a ported saw. Good. Mine is not yet ported and I've never had one that is but have run a few and like them except they are really loud. I notice it even with ear protection.

Best advice I can give is talk to your porter. I told Del I wanted the saw to happily pull a 24 all day if it had to and not be obnoxiously loud. I got what I ask for saw will pull a 24 in our south central PA hardwoods no problem and isn't crazy loud. Now I have the 7910 so it doesn't see a 24 often anymore.

Welcome James Miller and Scout80 , You’re gonna like it here, I guarantee it. As stated, we like pics, beer and dogs. We also like spending your money on accoutrements to enhance your addiction, er hoard. Example, if you want anything at all hoard related just let us know and we’ll give you the go ahead-its just that easy. Lots of nice folks here eager to lend advice or a hand.

    Nice to meet you :handshake:

Thank you all for the warm welcomes.
I’m sure I will have plenty of pictures to share.
I love dogs also. Especially if they point woodcock, grouse, pheasant, and the occasional turkey. Make that the occasional grouse

I’m sort of knew to forums
Haven’t been on many in quite a while but I think I could get comfy here

I like Hams and Bush Light by the way:cheers:

still a decent savings Scout80 . I priced a Stihl Ms261 recently and they didnt have much room on them. Maybe 5% off MSRP and these were power equipment dealers.
