    Dang some of those appraisers!

I had one in the early 2000's (deer collision) tell me the replacement parts would be non OEM; instead, they'd be knock offs. Needed fender/front end/headlight frame/radiator saddle that sort of stuff.

I told him I don't pay for those parts and expect oem parts. He said its not my call. "Yes, it is my call since it is my policy paid for with my money!"

No, not really. I make the recommendation.

OK, thanks for stopping by- you have no further business here and can leave right now.

    I'm not finished...

    Oh yes you are. Leave.

He left and I did get the OEM parts for the vehicle.

My grandfather who lives in Nova Scotia turns 76(?) Today, haven't seen him in a couple years now. He was hoping to come up for my cousins wedding this summer but not sure if he can due to issues with kidneystones :(

My great uncle next door who delivers the wood also turns 61 today......seems like yesterday his son was remarking he'd be 50 in a couple years. Where'd that time go....

Kiddo is presenting a show and tell today, complete sentences yadda yadda. She chose her Beeka (baby blanket). I think is awful CUTE, WWW is worried she might get made fun of. On a similar note, what age did you tell your kid's that Santa & Tooth Fairy etc. are not real?

Santa was easy. We told our kids that new parents don't have as much money and Santa helps by bringing toys.

As kids got older, we told them that Santa had to help more little kids and we would pick up what he didn't bring.

My daughter said Santa could not get down the chimney with the woodstove in it or he would catch fire. She was a bit wise in her early years.

I hope no teasing evolves from the blanket talk.

You also may consider the santa/tooth fairy talk to be bundled along with the "stork" talk...……..birds and the bees...… :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

Seriously, let it go as long as you can.

Got the shower valve replacement done! Even added two ball valves to the hot and cold water lines in the basement to avoid using the "I will fail you someday gate valves" that were on the supply lines.

A former partner came over and we knocked out the job.

Only thing left now is the drywall repair...… :picard:

My neighbor used it, works very well. When I put my driveway in back in 2000 we had a drought. The driveway just wouldn’t pack. Just dust. I have fought that for years. These 2s will fix the bad spots that are left. Just in time for me to sell it.

Thank You for all your Santa input!! When the time comes, fishingpol , that is genious!! I totally agree yooperdave , as long as possible, as long as I am not doing her a disservice. The time is coming soon Canadian border VT, exactly the ages you suggested, last Christmas and the one before she's been asking Santa's some very clever and hard questions...... Likely this Christmas, 2019, from other kids at school. Fingers crossed on the blanket thing. Atleast it has a really interesting yellow part to it, she threw it in the air as a toddler and it landed on the wood stove (stove was surrounded by a baby gate), we did not notice til it started steaming and smelled the burn, practically scorched one part of it.

Backwoods Savage , I appreciate it on the computer, I ordered it today. For the price, I figure we'll still have the monitor if/when she needs one with more juice for homework. I'm sorry you have to take it easy today, know you'd rather be working. And also could not help but notice you were on at like 1 or 2 am the other day . I'm afraid my father has had similar results with shots. He finally got them cut too. ((HUGS))

That computer should be plenty for any homework. I think you did the right thing.

My parents never told me. But I well remember even at that young age figuring out stuff. Then I actually got mad because of all the lying and I knew some were making fun of it. It really was funny though one Easter when I was out looking for eggs that the Easter Rabbit left. Wait a minute! Eggs come from chickens, not rabbits. One more lie. Guess I was an oddball kid huh?

That seems a bit old to be telling them. I'd do it at 5 or 6 at the latest.
