Got to 69 this afternoon. Sweet! Nice working conditions. Skeeters are about ready to hatch though.

Great. Ticks are already out......might as well make it a bloodsucking party with skeeters too.

    No brush required.

Burning real low here round the clock. Still low 40s. Mrs Papi burns a little less low. Came home to 77 indoors. Ah well, not going to run out of wood, and the girls are happy. Brought some more sugar chunks in - they like to run low moreso than pine, which is prone to go out if turned down way low.

Why not add the black flies to the mix?

Nice sunny day here too. Got up to about 68 I think. Doors open, it was great. Looks to be more moderate going forward. May shutdown this weekend. Little Ash in the boiler for now.

41° here this morning, so I relit the stove after burning all day yesterday. Today I can just burn enough to warm up the basement. Next week it's off to the 70's, so the next couple of morning fires will probably be the end of wood burning season. I've been pulling oak that's punky on the surface out of the shed, get rid of that before cleaning up.

Rain missed us last night. Temps in the upper 40's now and headed to the low 70's. Time to mow the lawn before the next week of rain.

You should have taken a couple home with you! We have more than enough. Had to chase more out of the yard yesterday too.

2 days in a row with no fire in stove! It's about time.
