Those little black flies were starting to show up this past weekend at the cottage. Just in time for the walleye opener on Wed!

Today will be waiting on insurance appraisers to look at both of our trucks. I will probably have to vehicle shop and definitely lawn tractor shop before I have to borrow the neighbors goats.

I have a game cam set up at a dug hole in a brush pile out back. I'll take a look what is running around back there. I'm thinking maybe a woodchuck, but I haven't heard or seen it yet. There is also a deer trail along the edge of the wetlands. I'll move the camera over if I get pics off the first set up.

No saw work yet. Maybe this weekend I will re-assemble the wood racks and start hoarding.

    Have a good day.

I hope you know a good body shop. And I hope your insurer will total one of them if that's what it deserves. How old are they? I guess there is no question about who is at fault in either incident. My husband's accident in January just got settled through arbitration, the other driver was found to be 100% at fault, so we get our deductible back plus the extra days of car rental over what our insurance covered.

I hope all good well in your favour and it doesn't take too long to settle things. Being without vehicles during a move really handicaps you.

Looks like we might be getting a bit of rain. Tomorrow we are going down to pick up our English cousins who are visiting for a couple of weeks. They will be using our RV unit to travel the island. She messages me this morning to say that they are an hour late leaving Gatwick because of refueling problems. I hope it doesn't mess with their connections in Toronto. Although we need the rain badly, I hope it is just off and on showers while they are here. No fun camping in the rain.

Split more wood today and hauled some home. It's only 1/4 mile through the woods so not far. Several more days work to be done there but I work slow.

Shower faucet (single handle) took a poop today. It's on the schedule to be repaired/replaced tomorrow morning. Yeah, gonna have to cut out a piece of drywall if it needs to be replaced. :headbang::headbang::headbang:

I hate drywall....and that's not strong enough of a statement!

yooperdave I know how smart you are man.
Why do you need to cut sheetrock to pull out a shower valve? The brass holder very rarely goes bad it's usually the cartridges inside you just pull them out and replace them. Is usually a horseshoe-shaped clip holding them on the bottom

If it is a Moen shower valve, take a paperclip and make a hook at the end. Put it through the hole at the top of the clip. A little insurance in case the clip should fall. It won't end up down the wall.
