Nice breeze coming in from the ocean today and It was more productive. Got several logs ready to cut. The little winch continues to do what I need it to. I know it would be a quicker show if I cut on top of the pile but at this point my balance is so bad I pretty much need stable footing to be safe with the saw. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I went to camp this weekend to see that my neighbor had 40 trees dropped around his place last week. I was walking over to see what he was up to and he was getting ready to shimmy out across his creek and cut some 10" limbs off of a beech tree. He is in his 70's and I am 31... I told him give me the saw and get in the truck with the chains to pull the branches. It was interesting trying to restart his POS MS170 on a tree crossing a creek while not falling off or hitting myself with the saw. I know much better than what I did with no PPE, my only saving grace was that I don't think his saw could stay running long enough to take out too much meat from me, and it was just at the shop too. He only had me cut two limbs then he was ready for grass cutting, otherwise I was going for my saws and chaps to help anymore.
I agree with what everyone said about safety, it's certainly not quicker if you have to stop to go to the hospital, or even injured just enough to keep you away from the stacks for a while. Still envious of the view from your cutting area.
Nice work Reloader , I too will usually pull the logs off the pile. Just not worth the risk. Doesn't matter how good your balance is/isn't, log piles are still dangerous places. Beautiful scenery, thanks for the pics.
