I have never heard of this show, but the last several days I hear about it EVERYWHERE. I'm listening to the news, I hear it. I'm listening to the oldies station on Sirius during my morning commute, the host mentions it. I'm at work minding my own business, I over hear co-workers talking about it as if this is the most important thing happening in the world right now.

Maybe it's because I rarely watch TV, but I don't get it. I googled it and to me it looks like some kind of fantasy show about dragons and sorcerers. No thanks. I'd rather watch reruns of All in the Family, The Dukes of Hazzard and ALF.

Apparently I'm the only person who has never heard of it. Other notable mentions are 50 shades of grey (thought it was about the Confederacy), Ryan Seacrest and Beyonce.

HBO series. Fantasy. Along the lines of Lord of the rings.

Good series. This is the last season, with 3 episodes left. Spinoffs are expected.

It's very well done, we just started watching it, as we just got HBO as part of our standard cable package

I would think you'd have to be living under a rock not to at least heard of it until now...the new season began a few weeks ago and that's when I heard all about it. Still planning on watching exactly ZERO of it though.

Wife and her sis both read all the books and so we've watched from the beginning. They also read all the Outlander books and watch that every season too (I find something else to do).
Some of it is pretty far-fetched fantasy, but it's well done for the most part.
The good guys don't always win, so it's more like real life in that regard. Two more episodes, then it's done.
Now, if you asked me who some of the people were/are on these awards shows (people patting themselves on the back), I couldn't tell ya'. Most shows follow a VERY familiar format and story line that's been done a million times with different people. I see it (but don't watch most of it), but only because I've been around for a minute or two.
I'm still trying to figure out why Accuweather had a story about that Russian airliner that caught fire in the sky. Had nothing to do with the weather.:picard:
I fear I may have taken the fork in the road.  Maybe a couple.

Supposedly some passengers claimed lightning hit the plane as it took off in stormy weather. Whether the weather had anything to do with the plane turning around will probably not be known until all the data and observations are concluded. As id usually the case with plane crashes, but the media survives on ad-clicks that come with sensationalism.

Know what GoT is about but have never watched any of it.

The wife and I found GOT yrs. back and started watching it as we both like medieval type shows, Kings, castles, etc. We like to watch the oldies, both movies and tv shows. " Car 54 where are you?"

I have avoided anything to do with Hollywood for many years now. :zip:

I stick with older series and history shows. I'm slightly boring regarding TV watching.
