I have had these logs laying around from a couple pines I took down. I figure it was time to turn them into outside wood. I like using a fire pit almost as much as the fireplace. Some of these were easily 24”. I had to use a ramp to roll them up onto the hydro splitter, bust them into smaller pieces, then made appropriate size pieces with the SS.
Burned a bunch of that naked pine over the years - we love it! Got a stove load choochin right now as a matter of fact.
lots of outdoor fires in that stack mr.finn. Looks like fire is a year round thing at you place. How often do you have an outdoor fire? I use our fire pit to start the charcoal and will usually keep it going after.
MikeyB, sorry my firepit is a crappy rusted out, legs missing lowes job not worthy of pictures. We are currently searching for something nicer that will last longer. I love burning, inside or out. On weekends doing yardwork I will light it and burn all day in the fall.
Yes girl a few towns over makes them with a plasma cutter out of old 500 gallon propane gas tank ends. Most any design you want. Pricey but last for ever. The more it rust the better.
