43 degrees with an east wind and heavy drizzle. I thought we were done for the season.

A pile of shop scraps and some white cedar fence posts to get rid of. I do miss the stove.

42 out now & going into the 30's. Gotta haul some wood up to the boiler as I don't wanna burn my good Oak up in these temps. Snow later tomorrow & cooler next week, so I'll keep the fire going. Been a long burning season.

Toasting his toes! My cat was purring as I lit the stove this morning. I still have a little maple and oak in the basement. If I use that up, there is hemlock and poplar in the screened porch. I hope it doesn't come to that. 43° and drizzly here.

Tired of the rain and chill. Still having fires almost every night. Pine and bricks going this morning. We’ve had one decent day so far when it hit 60, on Thursday. I got a little spring fever and decided to start building a greenhouse. It’s about 3/4 done, hope to finish tomorrow.

That looks great! Would make a nice solar kiln once the weather gets hot.

Thanks. It’s handy to try bilco doors and could make a good wood shed if the greenhouse idea doesn’t work out I suppose. ;)

By June you won't need it for plants anyway.

Well I had my OWB all shoveled out until last night. I decided to light a fire as it was raining and getting colder woke this morning to 35* glad I lit the fire. Burning up some Soft Maple, Cherry and Pine. Suppose to stay cool for a few more days so I will keep it going.

Good to hear it is going south of you. For us it means we won't get much at all.

It was 42 this morning and supposed to get colder so I started a fire. House is up into the 70's and it won't take much to keep the house warm today.

They were saying 3" snow tonight but now one forecast says 2" and another says just a chance of some snow. Hope it all misses us. 31 predicted for the low tonight and supposed to stay cool all week but wet too.

It was snowing hard late this morning but most is melting. We are getting some light drizzle now. This snow storm has been a bust, at least in the La Crosse area. Should be mostly done by supper tonight.

Started with rain here, but turned to ice then snow flurries for the bulk of the day. Lot up some uglies this morning, between that and "home made pizza night" we kept it in the 70s indoors. Looks like low 30s over night, so I'll bring another load in and keep the train choochin.
