    All,

This is by far my favorite website and I enjoy watching everyone's hoarding lives. I have to ask though, what is everyone's hoarding plan this weekend? How much are you going to cut or split or stack? I seem to go into every weekend with a plan of cutting just about 1,000 cord, and Sunday night after maybe a cord I am pizzed with myself.

How much are you planning to cut? My goal is 1.5 cord...I will update Sunday night.

No cutting for me this weekend. I’ll be burning a bit though. Taking the family tent camping at our local state park

So, my "plan", as it were, is to go out to the piles of rounds I have and split then stack as much as I can every day. 1/4-1/3 FC seems to be my go-to anymore.
1,000 cord is a bit outta my league.

One thing ive learned not to do is set a cordage goal for myself as it seems to add more stress when im hauling/cutting/splitting/stacking Woodsnwoods. Firewood hoarding is my HOBBY with benefits...exercise/fresh air/nature and some extra money for me. I scrounge 95% of my wood as well.
Hoarding factors include life, my pain level, ambition, weather, site conditions etc.
It all depends on what my current task is ie CSS. Right now i have maybe a cord of wood to be CSS from my two scores this week.
I hate to have rounds accumulate, needing room for more scores.
Weekend wood plans as follows: Saturday morning i have to meet a guy with several tornado trees down in his woods, neighbor has logs as well so i may line up future scores...15 minutes from home. Have to PW the deck and help son in law build man cave so may not get much wood done.
I may split half the wood from the two scores from this week. Id like to finish stacking mound of red oak splits. PU pallets today.
My advice...take your time, enjoy your wood cutting toys and saws. Enjoy the woods and outdoors. Hoarding is our version of playing golf (ive never played but compare my "hobby" to it.) and its meant to be enjoyed!
Take time to stop and smell the roses is the old cliche`

Supposed to start raining by noon Saturday. Saturday night rain turn to snow. Got some logs to cut to size and move, will get that done until the rain.

Hopefully I’ll finish the wood shed this weekend. I started on it on Thursday.

Thanks. They were a Craigslist find. 2 hour round trip and loaded most with one arm due to a elbow surgery. They are worth the trouble to get them.

We have two parties this weekend, one tonight that we have to leave for right after I get off of work, Euchre and adult beverages, then Saturday evening will be a big bonfire party at my cousin's. I'll be gathering up a truckload of 3-4 foot long 2-4 inch diameter stuff to toss on to keep the PYRO in us all happy... Bonfire and adult beverages... LOL. Sunday I'm hoping to get some more wood split and stacked. Not sure what time I will feel like getting out there to it.

    :campfire: MORE WOOD!!!

If I can get these rounds split... IMG_20190426_31989.jpg
And on top of this stack... IMG_20190426_43811.jpg
I'll be happy. What with babysitting and rain, that's probably all that will happen.
I have this much more oak to split, and that will put to bed all the oak I hoarded over the winter. IMG_20190426_54753.jpg

If the weather cooperates ( and so far it hasn't ) and I don't have to paint the kitchen more than twice, I have plenty of pine to slice and dice.

I’ve got some logs out onto the road so I can get my quad up the hill to do some cutting. Certainly no rush though as I have most of the woodshed full and enough cut to fill the rest already. Just some fun with the saws.

Great thread, was hoping to get some splitting today, had the day off and went to the farm with the family but the rain was off and on all day.
Hoping to get at least a face cord or better of black oak split and stacked done by Sunday afternoon.

Midwinter, how much wood do you have stacked? Looks like a ton. How big is your pool?

Don't think I've ever went out with a goal of cutting x amount. I just go out and go to work. If I get tired, I quit. As for this weekend I won't be cutting as I had a medical procedure yesterday and supposed to take it really easy for 2-3 days. That leaves out wood cutting or any wood work other than putting some in the stove and we will need to for sure this weekend. Looks like it will be quite cool for the next several days and even freezing again tonight and probably tomorrow night too.
