Weather has improved a bunch around here...
We finished crushing all the shells we have at the moment...

Gonna set up and go get more soon....in the mean time we sit around and dream of exploits past....

Went out the other day to move the Suburban (Keeps the mice guessing) and twisted the key and NOTHING....NADA...ZIP ZERO.

    Battery time.
We bought the rig used back in Dec. 2014 and the battery looked fairly new...but the install date spots had not been plucked out.....so ????????

Got a fresh one now and all good again..

    Could not stand it....

Had to try the Squirrel "Munchy sticker" on the machine....well at least in the virtual world anyway.

No paint yet, but decided to give it a test ride anyway.

Had the P43 turned off since the weekend. Mid 60's in the house this morning so just turned it back on. Supposed to be warm and sunny today so it should only run this once.

P61a is still on and keeping the basement temps in the mid 60's. Another week or two and the ground should be warm enough I can turn that one off.

75 F with puffy white clouds and a breeze....JUST RIGHT
Crisp mornings that need a spot fire to take the chill off of the shack.... PURRRRRRFECT..

Night before last and last night we ran through with the stoves OFF...
Still need a spot fire in the morning....so decided to lite off the big Whitfield as it will take the chill off quickly.

Was 65 F in the house this morning.... just a touch too cool to be comfy sitting around sipping coffee.

The shoulder season is upon us.... soon the fires will be dropped until fall....

Still need to get and crush more shells though.

I am liking burning only one bucket every 2-3 days instead of 2 -3 buckets every day.

First time out for the new RV this weekend. We'll be using it for the next 3 or 4 weekends at the museum. Then off to Bloomsburg PA end of June for Red Power Round-up

Damp and raw outside here today. House was 74 F and the wife got upset and no end to the complaining until I got the stove to run on constant.
I won't let it run for any real length of time because running low makes for it to run dirty. Rather run medium and then shut it off. We have another heating system I could have turned up, but nothing pleases her more than then sight of the fire in the stove.

Both stoves were cycling down when I got home about 30 minutes ago. Very dark, damp, raw day so no solar gain.
