It'll be 40 years in a few days that the "Greatest Play in Major League Baseball" occurred. I'm posting this now, a few days early, as I'll likely be away on the actual anniversary. Enjoy.................

Almost 50 and not a baseball fan so maybe that's partly why. This was pretty cool though....I think I would've heard about it.

I was 3 when that happened. Don't recall it. But if I ask my Uncle Fred about it? Let's just say I won't be able to post his response.

Not that. You just posted too early in the day.

btw, I too am not a big fan and I was well into my 20's at that time but this is the first I've heard about it. Age makes no difference. Just because it was a great play and patriotic, what one man sees or knows about is not what everyone sees and knows about.

Two losers for sure! I wish they would have set themselves on fire and really proved a point! :usa:

April 25,1976.... I had just returned from a 13 month deployment at MCAS Iwakuni Japan and was discharging out of the USMC when that happened. I guess there is no limit to what losers will do for attention.

Thank you for posting that. Had never heard of that before. Not much of a sports fan and back then I was horseback 90% of the time.
