    Kinda reminds me of some sort of hybrid/ornamental cherry.

    Cherry but giant pieces not so much. It’s free, trying to arrange a time now. Cross fingers.

    Those big rounds do look Beechy.

    I’m used to seeing an even lighter grey color in the beech bark that I can recall.

    I thought Beech possibly. Bark looks a bit dark, but may be the pic. That pinhole through the center says Beech if that's what I'm seeing. Very good firewood.

    Back is a lot better....ran a half marathon last weekend! Well, I walked and ran and finished 3 hours and 10 minutes. Then I hoarded some cherry. Whoooo!

    I think beech, too. The bark looks right. Maybe copper beech. The American beech up here in NH has lighter colored wood.
