What if the pond would freeze solid? I guess they head down to where the spring is

I always thought the frogs and turtles/salamanders (etc) buried themselves in the mud/muck for over winters.

No fire here! House held 68 all day - thought mama would want some fire to take the moisture out of the air, but she said no thanks, so we were good. Spent the rainy day in and out of the house anyway, so body temp stayed high. :) She and micro-me shopped with the money I saved by scrounging some free ash. ;)

Cooking happening first thing tomorrow for the Easter spread, so likely won't need heat until the afternoon when we come in from the annual outdoor egg hunt.

We made it to 46 yesterday. I looked in the afternoon at regional temperatures and it was amazing with MN, upper WI and upper MI being much warmer than even most of Kentucky! Amazing. Simply amazing.

Does it feel like you've lifted over 31 tons?

    Pretty precise measurements!

I see you are getting a lot of rain yooperdave but we aren't bad here. Might get some early tomorrow they say but only a 30% chance right now. Supposed to go to mid to high 70's today!!!! You can tell there is rain not too far away or high humidity because sound is really carrying a long ways out there this morning. It's actually very noisy for this area when the weather is like this. Plus we have some planes dropping stuff for skeeters to eat when they hatch out. Sadly, they come fairly close to us but stop at the county line with is 5 miles from us... But, they do spray and fog here once they hatch out.
