Wind storm knocked over 6 or 7 decent sized oaks around the corner from me. It was a nasty tangled mess. The township spent quite a while clearing the road. I'd inquire about it, but I'm already several oak trees behind on my own property.
If it’s your own property you can get to them anytime. Go get these now I have wood on my property but I cut everyone else’s first.
I’m with Diesel 4 life , turn on the emergency flashers and go get that now!!! Your stuff is yours and will wait...this is a gift...Hope you are well my friend and fellow hoarder
Looks nice ! I just start cutting. If I’m asked, first thing I do is offer to stop and apologize (if need be).
I agree coreboy83 . I used to find someone to ask or get permission, but by that time the wood is gone. Now i just go to town!
At least grab a truckload. That looks like nice straight red oak. Can you park in a driveway just past the wood? Like they stated mike bayerl your own trees can wait. BTW first time ive ever seen a goose crossing sign!
I said this here before, when I was picking up wood on the side of the road in town, a cruiser pulled up behind me and the cop asked if I had truck problems. No I said, just getting wood. well he said, Asplunduh has been cutting down such and such a road and there's wood there for you. My tax dollars REALLY at work for me, thank you sir! Off I went to get said wood. America at it's best!
youre the man! uh i mean NH mountain man NH mountain man!!! Is there a lot of competition for roadkill up there? Lots of burners in NH, no?
Everybody and his brother burns up here in the country, not so much in our 13 cities. My biggest competition for wood here is Midwinter . She noticed on the the way to Well Seasoned 's gtg last year there was no wood on the side of the road on the way up. I told her that's cause I already got it all, it's the way to my camp.
mike bayerl this is a no brainer. Your truck parks inches away from the wood you're loading for pete's sake! And no mud to drive through! Lucky dog!
Exactly, mike bayerl . post some pics of those logs, cut up of course, in your truck on their way to your place.
