    And, very understandable. Sadly thats what they will do. I personally don't see what they are really good for, maybe except the "cute factor" for some. I was actually thinking the hawks would find them first, "were loaded" with them here. Something definitely chewed on one bad, makes me think cat or coyote, we have both around here.

    My former neighbor's cat would find the young ones. A little too portly to have much success with birds but it would sit and watch them at the feeder.
    They moved and now we have rabbits again. We had coyotes too . By the tracks in the snow we have one or two rabbits. Two is bad news.
    We have a pair of goshawks that can be seen and heard all day long and hopefully they like chipmunks.

    We have had the same here for the past few years. Surprisingly, the yotes and fox haven't done much to lessen the population. Drives my stupid dog crazy. He stares, runs back and forth through the house.....and then tries to drag you across the yard when you take him out
