If were including one tank trips lets not forget the Pro football hall of fame is just around the corner and a little south of Lehman's is what we term Amish country (Sugarcreek,Walnut Creek,Berlin). The wives would really like that, every country craft item you can think of or imagine along with a few stove shops, nice flea mkts, and some of the best Amish home cookin' you can shake a stick at.

You really shouldn't shake a stick at them, the Amish can be pretty sensitive. We got a pretty large community of them in Eastern Iowa.

The Amish use it as a big tourist attraction. They are very used to visitors and that is a big income for them.

Yep, they sure do. I think my ex father in law single handedly keeps their whole community funded.

Actually right beside the hardware Swags mentioned is Hartville Kitchen (amish style restaurant) and lots of nice little shops for the ladies.

350 miles for me. Not too bad. I'm just going to bring a sleeping bag, a saw or two, a one man tent, and some food.

I still suggest we all bring some meat, beer / adult beverages, and some food to share. I like the idea of the stew and a big cauldron.

UPDATE; My wife will be accompanying me to the gathering, so she will be my partner in the two person crosscut competition. She will be on the other end of the misery whip, so I rescind my "first dibbs " on Scotty as my partner. Scotty is now up for grabs. By the way she said : those boys better be practicing because I have no intention of losing". You have been warned. Good luck fellas.

maybe a group trip over there on Saturday evening (after we all get cleaned up of course) would be in order.....I've been wanting to hit that store for YEARS now....

We'll do that before the drinking and eating festivities begin Saturday night!!

I say tell me what to bring and I'll be glad to chip in on some tasty stew.

For anyone who can score some Yuengling bottles, I'll be happy to reimburse plus a nice tip. I can't get that where I am and it's my favorite. Unless it's sold locally in Ohio, which it may be.
