    Yeah. It looks cool.

I'm curious of the weight and amount of run time on a battery?

    Congrats on the purchase :)

(Edit: Yeah, he posted 5 seconds ahead of me. lol)

Might be great for light duty stuff around the house. Does it have a resevoir for the bar oil?

This is MY opinion, but if I'm going to pick up a 12lb chainsaw it is going to run on dinosaur juice. But that's just me. I'm not knocking it and I hope it works out well for your needs.

I'm curious of run time and playing with the chain will do. Yes has a oil reservoir on the side.

I'm very much a gas guy too. My mom just got the weed and hedge trimmers that use the same battery so I thought what the heck.

    Touché.

I would like to see a nitro saw.

If we're going there we had better say diesel to keep the coal rollers calm. Alcohol is also an acceptable answer. Actually, I'll accept any liquefied hydrocarbon.

There are reasons to own a battery powered chainsaw. :)

Was it just because of the green factor or other reasons also?

Carpenters use them all the time. Great for interior work too.

My company has this deal where you get "service awards" based on how many years your
with the company. I think mine was a 20 year or something and you can pick whatever
is in that category for the years served, Typicaly watches, clocks, women jewelry, stuff like that... Then I see a chainsaw (battery operated) and you can probably guess what I picked... :) Some of the more sensitive guys get stuff for their spouses.. :emb:

I keep it in our camper and use it for cutting firewood at the campground ( its really quiet) which would
normally be a big no no..... I just wonder off in the wood at the state parks and come back with arm loads
of firewood and no one knows the difference.

Huge bonfires at the campground all week and didn't even have to tote one spilt in the bed of the truck...:fire:

That's a cool gift. I was thinking of using it in the basement to cut slab wood and kindling when it's not the best of conditions out. Throwing it in the car or whatever and not worrying about it. Most likely it will stay with my mom most of the time she doesn't want to deal with gas anymore.

I decided to go green a lot more this spring too. Was just at the John Deere dealership… bought a whole bunch of "authentic" green spray paint… ;)
