Got up north today and scored this load from a craigslist add!! Some of the pieces were cut a little long (24-26") :loco:  But most of it is pretty good. Only one crotch piece and the rest is nice and clean!
I'm guessing it's just over a cord worth

Bet you worked your ash off loading all that! More of it available 45 minutes away, haul your ash on over there and get it.

When I think of the work it takes to fell and haul the trees out to an area where the logs can be bucked… riding in the truck with the radio on sounds pretty good… ;) That's some fine looking ash… I'd have to go get it… :tree:

What would that cost you in gas? Maybe $25? That is cheap wood. Does he have another full load for ya? Wait for a nice weather day and make a good trip out of it. Bring the "ol lady" with ya and put her to work too! LOL

I haven't decided how I'm going to cut the odd pieces yet. I'm leaning towards cutting an 18-20" piece out of it and just dealing with the 8" piece that's left.

When we do our serious grocery shopping, it's a 45 minute trip....one way. No big deal.
We use about $15 in gas round trip @ close to 20mpg. Hauling that is worth it.
If he's got more, go get it.
    Nice load right there.
