Nice morning to split some beech. All beech except for maybe ten splits of maple. That round makes 5 or 6 splits for me though, so half the splitting time compared to some. Hope you all hoard on today!!!!!

Hopefully the rain will pass there. We got a hard rain last night, so it’s mud again! Just started drying out too.
some sprinkles yet here, the river is running loud and its muddy so we got decent amount of rain overnight. Busy this afternoon and have a 30th B-day party tomorrow afternoon so no firewood making this weekend. I may go split some tomorrow morning as its not til one.
Beech is great firewood! Unfortunately we got pounded by a late season snow storm. Got about 8" of heavy wet sloppy snow. It is going to be a while before I get back in the woods.
