nice day here in Southern New England, upper 50's with sun then clouds. I was in a T shirt all day. GF had cortisone shots in her back yesterday so i was helping her with raking and transplanting flowers. I had a couple hours before supper so i split and stacked the ash from Wednesdays tree job score. (See "DA vine intervention thread" posted last Thursday.) Have a few gnarlies to noodle and some skinnies left to buck.

Good to help out the way you did. :handshake: That's all part of it, no? The wood will wait for a while!

It was a beautiful day wasnt it?
Burned some brush piles with mom. Hauled a big old dead tree into the state forest with the log arch. They won’t notice one more :)
In the afternoon I took the atv out through the forest. A lot of off trail exploring near the rattlesnake dens which is an area I’ve avoided most my life. Always nice to see things from a different prospective but soon it’ll be off limits again. Not a fan of rattlers.

yes it was a nice day! jo191145 im starting to worry about you! Did i read "Hauled a big old dead tree into the state forest with the log arch." ?
We've had copperheads around here the past few years. Our back woods is all loose rockledge so ideal homes for them. Believe it or not i got bit by a garter snake in the yard last Summer.

You read it right. Old is the operative word. Fell down on the edge of the field probably 30 years ago. So wrapped up in bittersweet and grapevines no one ever wanted to tackle it.
Dont worry about me. Worry about fanged serpents and maybe midwinter. She’s gettin a little crazy with these snake gifs. :) :) Still not a fan even if they eat themselves.
