    Actually, I should correct that, it would make pressure waves, not sound waves.

    If nothing percieves the pressure waves, then there is no sound.

    Ok I'm back!
    I got the tree down, Miss July cut it up with her 171, we hauled the junk away, brought in three more wagon loads of hickory that were still laying in the woods, cleaned up some pine branches from a leaner we took down last week, cooked dinner, cleaned up and went to bed, early...
    got up at 3am, built a fire, finished off a bag of cheese curls for breakfast, and now realized...there's no pics...:hair:
