High tops with metatarsal protection and steel toes.

Caulks to give traction and prevent falls when getting wood off road in the logging slash.

Large upper eye so a loggers knot can be used to tie the laces.

Great looking boots. The golf cleats are a great idea.
I retired from the steel industry. Metatarsals were required. I was at GTG had my old work boots on and was asked about the metatarsals.
I always wear those boots when splitting. Don't know how many times they saved my bacon.
I am not much of a dancer, but could win "Dancing With The Stars" when a split falls on my foot.

So, the idea is to start dancing as the split is falling, not after.
I have no dancing skills......at all. This is much better than I............

    Nice Allan.

I have not worn loggers boots for quite some time now but considering getting another pair. I miss them.

I've been wearing them every morning on our walks , so their broken in when it comes time to wear them for wood cutting . I forget how stiff boots like this can be!

I hate steel toed boots. Have only had one job that required them. Fortunately the job did not last.

For one thing, I have a terrible time keeping my toes warm even in summer. In winter with steel toes, that is not a good mix.

Never really thought about the steel toes making the boots cold guess I'm moving enough when operating the splitter for my toes not to get cold ! Wanted the steel toes and metatarsal protection should the dog pop out of a large round and the block land on my toes .

I can fully appreciate that one Allan. Sometimes it happens. Fortunately for me we don't have wood that size to be concerned with as all our woods is young.

Good looking boots campinspecter! I agree entirely about having iron clad protection while hoisting those big rounds! I used to hunt with a friend on the Olympic Peninsula who wore his caulks, or "corks", as he calls them, everywhere. Referred to wearing regular boots as being "slipshod". Glad you are keeping yourself safe!

It was, it is, lol. I iced it down as soon as i did it, then put some heat on it a little later. Of course this is the leg i broke up pretty bad in 1977 i broke the ankle, tibia , femur. So, now its like a magnet to falling things, and pain, ha,ha. ME DUMMY, if i'd had the Whites on, it would have not happened.

They are Viberg boots the style I'm not sure of . I just tried on several pair of boots till a pair felt right and Viberg custom made them as caulk boots for my narrow foot and and ankle .
