Interesting. I would think the wedge size/height would figure in there as well.

The I&O 26 ton is my machine, and it has a 4.5" cylinder. 12 second cycle time. The only difference between mine and the fast cycle is cylinder size.

Yours should cycle around 10 seconds? Gonna be a productive machine for sure....

It's already come in very handy pulling a couple of the oak pieces off that wouldn't have been fun without it. Slick idea.

Bet they have an option. If they don't, and you decided you wanted one, it's not rocket science. Couple of pieces of 1/2" flat bar on either side of the wedge. Can look at other set-ups to rig it. No prob.

Ya. Yours has the 4.5 inch cylinder and the motor is 270 cc. Mine has the 4 inch cylinder and 308cc. Yours has 7 inch high wedge, mine has 8 inch. Not much difference.

I got swamped today. Yard work, helping parents out, and worked on road. Did all this while waiting for splitter to get to our Wood Chop Shop. Just brought it home but need to go to son's baseball scrimmage and daughters softball practice. Tomorrow will be some splitting. Talk about getting teased!

Thanks guys. I haven't even had time to look at the manual. We started it up at the shop and it purred like a kitten. I will be lucky if I get to split wood tomorrow. 50% chance of rain. Daughter has school function I need to go to in early morning. Then I have some junk I have to do. Should be ready to split by 2-3. If it is not raining. What do you guys do? Put some heavy grease on the rail?

Ask the dealer about grease. They should have some kind of recommendation.
