image.jpeg Finally! Was able to get out and cut some wood! Just got the call for my permit. Mostly fir , some cherry, and some nice maple. First day was perfect, But, that all changed yesterday, wind, rain, lightning. Had the gear for the weather, so just kept cutting. Going back tomorrow for another load. Had a great time.

It wasn't by choice, but, it came on so fast i didn't realize it was happening. then, i moved back away from the timber and into a clear cut until the storm passed. Have to admit it was pretty neat to watch the storm move in, let go, then fade away into the east. Then the sun came out for a short time.

No storms until just now, its been raining HARD, and some wind for the past 2-3 hrs, looks like my timing was good!! lol. I would have liked to weigh the pickup, but, i didn't go by the scales, plus, i just wanted to get it home, and get it unloaded. Even got some put in the wood shed. Then, i stayed outside until it did start to rain, with the splitter and split some of what i brought home yesterday. Today was a GREAT DAY!!

Douglas fir or balsam fir? Your area sort of looks like our area.
