I have just used 91 pump gas in my MS361 for 15 years now (some E free, most not). Always use the STIHL premium mix oil since it became available. Seems to be working so far.

93 octane e-free with synthetic 2 cycle oil at 40:1 ratio and add 1/4oz of LC-20 lube control per gallon been using it for six years no problems even after leaving fuel in tank six plus months.

93 octane e free most of the time, sometimes 91 with ethenol, Stihl ultra or redline for oil. 40:1 ratio, I don't cut much in the winter but always start the saws at least twice a month and let them run for 2-3 minutes. As a side note the bi-marts in this area sell true fuel 50:1 for 4.99 on sale or 5.99 regular.

I run the Stihl premix for the first ten hours or so on new engines. Then switch to regular e-zero gas and Stihl premium oil with a light dose of Stabil mixed a gallon at a time. I just bought a can of TruFuel. I will try it in my new 362 when I use up my last can of Stihl premix.

90 octane ethanol free marine fuel and 90 octane only because that's all that's available, not because it runs better. More important, in my opinion, to be E free and lead free.

I run the lowest octane pump gas and mix at 40/1 for all my ope. Use a good oil and find one that you can tolerate the smell of. Milling turned me away from the Husky XP mix. I then turned to Klotz because it smells so darn good, but it gummed up my other (non milling) saws. So now I'm using Echo Red Armor to clean them up. Might go back to the XP after I use up all the RA.
I've personally never had any issues from ethanol. I don't leave any one specific saw or trimmer sit for eons either.

I have been running 90 octane ethanol free marine fuel, as most have mentioned, is commonly found near a recreational lake. Cost isn't bad and it makes a noticeable difference in starting ANY gasoline equipment that sits a lot.

One thing to note, I see some mention of running mixtures richer than 50:1. The more oil you add to your fuel, say 40:1 or even 32:1, the LEANER your engine will run. This is a misconception by many. There is less fuel to burn the richer your make your oil/gas mix causing the engine to run lean. If you are looking at adjusting your mix ratio, be sure to also adjust your carb settings as well to offset the change or you may burn the motor up.

As a avid 2 stroke dirtbike enthusiast, I have found that it is best to leave fuel mixture alone and adjust the carb to the fuel. One less variable to compensate. KTM recommends 70:1 in their bikes, I have always ran 60:1 to add additional oil BUT I'm tuned for it. Run the 90octane e free here too. 300cc dream machine.

I've been using sthil mix oil 50:1 in all my equipment for 25 hard abusive years and have never had any engine failure or starting issues.

I have been running 100LL avgas and either Husqvarna synthetic or AmsOil synthetic and have been happy with it. As far as the avgas goes, the LL means low lead (not high lead as some say) and it's the only no ethanol fuel we can get here. I can by 93 E free fuel, but I have to travel 30 miles round trip and pay $8.50 a gallon for it. I drive 4 miles to the airport and get the 100LL for $5.27 a gallon.

They told me that shooting guns would raise my lead levels too because of the vaporized lead. I have been shooting and handling ammo for 45 years. And while I have only been using the 100LL for a few months, i had my lead levels checked at the last checkup and my lever was low.

Avgas is all i use in my OPE. I'll put a little in other machines that sit a good bit over the winter also, like the atv's, garden tractor, log splitter, pressure washer...

    $8.50/ gallon for E-Free?!? :bug:

I guess I'm lucky. I have a wide choice of gasoline close by. I burn so much gas in my truck that regular 87 octane e-10 is fine. I buy premium 91 octane non-ethanol for my vette and OPE including the saws. I mix 50:1, 1 gallon at a time with Stihl HP Ultra. I try and use it up, but it sometimes, between seasons, it sits for a while, so I pour it in the wife's car and I mix fresh.

Both motorcycles require premium, so I run non-ethanol in them when I can, and at the last fill up before winter they get a dose of Sta-bil.

Every fall, I run the lawn mower until it runs out of fuel, change the oil and put it away. I do the same for the snowblower in the spring. My snowblower starts first pull every winter... The lawn mower 1 pull every spring..

I can honestly say that I have never had a fuel related problem in any of the 15 or so engines in the garage.

You are correct, it means Low Lead. That means it has less lead than 100/130 Avgas (no longer available), or pre-1975 leaded autogas (also no longer available). The EPA would have banned it years ago it they had the authority to do so, but that is a whole other discussion. It still has plenty of lead.

That is why I say the name is a misnomer, it has higher lead than allowed in any other context that I know of. Higher lead in the bodies of children living by GA airports is a fact, and they do not have it in their faces.

With a chainsaw, it is right in your face. Not what I want to do, but feel free. I just know that saws run great on other fuels.

Something to consider is looking into lubricant distributor's in your area. The local dealer I get my machinery lubes from also sells many different fuels in 5 to 55 gallon drums. You wouldn't know it unless you asked. I was told for the most part they can bring in anything that the refinery has.

I know you were talking to TurboDiesel , but our avgas here is $5.27/gallon in Northern California. You can buy as little or as much as you like,

We have an energy company here that sells other fuels. There is where the 93 e-free gas is and it's $8.50/gl. And I would have to travel 30 miles round trip to get it.

I believe it was amsoil in the 70's, they found out the hard way that you need a blend of non modified oil in the oil to keep the lead from creating oil passage blocking deposits.
Lead is more of an Issue for children than adults, about half of my career was in piston engine aircraft. I always laughed at the waste oil being treated like hazmat when I was into it up to my armpits.
Nothing smells as nice as 100ll and mix oil coming out of the exhaust.
I used to run it in everything, but it does seem to run a little hotter, and my mowers would quit and need to cool down.
I can't find non ethanol fuel near me, I just keep my mix gas fresh and run red armor oil
