Talked to my buddy last night... he still hadn’t cut up the branches that came down from the big wet snow storm that we had... so I went over cut the brush up and came home with some wet elm.... oh the joy of splitting that stuff... but I loaded up the JD and to took it right over to the splitter... split them all up...and now it’s beer thirty...

My dog does a good job of keeping turkeys from tearing up the yard as they surly will if left to raise their havoc. My dog doesn't bite them or do any harm. She just runs around them making them to want to go someplace else. Turkeys will leave a horrid mess of dropping in the driveway if not driven off. I don't shoot anything and my dog doesn't leave the yard.

Sorry for the wife's battle with the thorns. Get her some gloves that protect her hands. Good luck with the razzberries. And you, MR. Dennis, be darn carful taking that tree down. Maybe you can wait for the GTG and mark that tree for a take down.

I had a chihuahua who lived to be 17. She was rehomed to me from a family that didn't work with her. They had a son who was downright mean to the dog. Took me a year to get her trained and tolerant of strangers. Loved that little girl. I know a few folks that have little Yorkies. They are very smart and loving dogs. Need to be so careful not to step on them as they will get underfoot. They are not ankle nippers. might not hurt to have a playpen for it. They paper train easily.

Not much sleep last night either. And then someone unplugged the bunn coffee pot yesterday so I had to wait longer for the morning coffee....

Hope that it doesn't make me late for work this morning. Oh, wait.....that's right-no work today! :D

Yes, Monday morning and Spring Break is over. Up early for our walk in near freezing temps again. I think campinspecter will have a sunny day to cut grass and do some yard work. We trimmed away all the blackberry that was taking over the yard. Next I will be going after the salmonberry and scotch broom. It is really dry here with no rain in sight for a few days.

    Thanks guys!!

We supposed in and overnighted on Chattanooga. The dogs love my truck. Flip the rear seats up, and just as I placed the 2 dog beds fit perfectly in the back covering the floor. Before we left I got a full floorboard front and back weather tech knock off set from Amazon and they work and look great. We meet up with our long time friends that just happened to be driving to Orlando on spring break at the same time as is from Wisconsin. They even booked at the same hotel as is without us when coordinating it. Crazy huh? We knew that they'd be driving down and staying at the same hotel as us a few weeks ago, but man is that crazy? It was great to meet up with them again. The mom has worked at 3 different places with my wife since she's moved to Wisconsin in 04, and her kids are nearly all grown up now with the youngest being 16 and driving. We went to Hawaii with this family in fall.
The truck is getting between 18- 20 mpg freeway at 80 mph. The worst mpg was in Florida with the air conditioning going at 18.5, and the best 20.4, all hand calculated. There's some variance with fuel, and when each pump stops, but it's close enough. The in truck display is pretty close too for mpg.

Last night at our friends place on the intercoastal was nice. Our place it's great for us and the pups. Plus we're walking distance from the beach and their place is on the way to the beach.
    Here's a couple of pics.

It's pretty nice at our place too. Just hanging out on the patio. Waiting for my wife to wake up.

Her hand is much better today. Was not from thorns but apparently just from squeezing those trimmers over and over.

The tree will wait for the gtg as I need help on it. Probably trim a branch or 2 off a cherry and then get a rope on the oak and pull it down. I can't do the climbing any more and can't run tractor and saw at the same time. Dang, one would think I'd still be able to that much...

Horkn is having better weather than most of us have. But it is sunny here. Supposed to hit 40 today and tomorrow.

Got the snow tires off the car this morning so should start getting better gas mileage. Went to the saw dealership for the tire change and of course, talked saws and such. Told him about the GTG and invited him. Next thing I knew, I had these in my hands. He said give them as a door prize! Thank you.

What a nice place to have your morning pot of coffee! Oops, I mean whatever it is that you have in the morning in place of the coffee! :p

Glad your drive was safe and I hope there are no gators around those parts as they may want to have your dogs over for dinner.....

Keep the pics coming for those of us that are homebound! :BrianK:

Well, first I took the time to get a few things done that needed to be done today. Tax return payments written out and mailed out. Stopped and paid the preparer. And a few other bills are now paid.

Then I finally built a box onto the back of my four wheeler. This is easily removable by taking out three screws.
