Sunday stacking

    Worked on stacking some of the black locust, Osage orange and red oak that I’ve scrounged this spring. Still have an equal amount of black locust to add to the pile. Ran out of time to finish it all today. [​IMG]

    This will be my pile for when temps get real cold in the dead of winter.

    Hahahahaha! That’s good! To be honest I’m not totally sure. I’ve never burned it before. My plan is to let the hedge and red oak sit covered for 3 years. The locust is has been dead so I’ll burn that first.

    Mike13 according to firewood BTU and drying resource Osage orange should be ready in 12 months..

    It’s like fine wine... longer it sets the better... 12 months is possible... but 2-3 years is much better...
