My wife is working all weekend so I thought it would be a good time to split some Ash and smoke cigars. I had two areas that I skidded Ash logs to. My great plan was to do all this wood on Saturday but apparently I’m not as young and tough as I thought. It took a day and a half. Plus I had to run to town for a part. I cut all the logs on the first day then started splitting. This Ash will be for the 2023/24 heating season, maybe 24/25 I finished around noon on the second day and had time to change the oil and fuel filter in my truck.
I am looking at all these great threads of guys cutting and splitting.. Aching to get outside.. 38 and sunny.. And a foot of snow and mud on ground
Great work! I guess you guys with dead ash need to process it, even if you are 5 years ahead. Looks like beautiful weather for it.
