Making good progress. Probably only have 4-5 cords more of them. Hard to tell but the larger ones are roughly 36” in diameter. Sure am glad the tw6 has a log lift. I like to build one pile at a time but due to where logs were dumped, I have 2 different ones going at the moment. Can’t wait to get to smaller diameter stuff again!
Also throwing some pile progress pics.

I'll take big logs over little ones anytime. Less mess and the wood is usually better/denser.

    Metal alert! 3rd round.

Big ones make so many splits. I like making 6x6 stove bolts.

Glad your splitter has a lift too. We get some big ones too. Have to use the tractor...like eating the elephant, one bite at a time...

My future is full of bigguns. Hoping my lift contraption works when I finally get it built LOL.
On the bright side it’s usually straightgrained wood. Easy to split and pile. My contraption should also perform double duty by holding the excess round in place and lifting and lowering it into position until it’s manageable.

Lift splitters?...I thought that was arms and legs. I thought the best way was to just roll the big boy to a splitter setup vertically. I’d love to see your lift.

the big uns can be a pain no doubt, but they make a lot of splits real fast. I went on google earth and that mound of wood can be seen from space! Great looking pile:yes:

So many people are saying the big logs make a lot of splits fast. I can say this: every other step takes longer. Give me 16” diameter logs for an hour and then 30”+ for an hour. The pile of splits from the smaller wood will be bigger.

Normal... Well if average is a C your closer to an A..
TW 6, might be a more commercial splitter than most of us "normal guys" use ;)
