    Spare me the jokes..lol. So I’ve discovered that I can’t stop refreshing FB looking for free wood offers. What is wrong with me? I have an 11 acre wooded property with plenty of down trees that need to be pulled out but I can’t stop the sensation I get pulling up to another property and not knowing what to expect. I love working out and pulling wood off other people property. When i miss a load, I get depressed. It’s like my CrossFit. I’ve got a chord lined up 45 miles away tomorrow. This forum is my therapy. Do I need help?

    Maybe a little....where is the wood located....:thumbs::tractor::woodsign::saw::stacker::stack:
    That is a fair distance to go. I passed up some that was about 60 miles, sure didn't want to...

    You need help for sure. A bigger truck/trailer, more saws, a tractor, someone(s) to help c/s/s the firewood etc. Otherwise I think you're just fine. :rofl: :lol:

    What is wrong with you? You're a firewood hoarder, nothing wrong with that. Welcome to the club.

    If this affects your daily life and ability to function, yes i would get help. There is absolutely nothing wrong with seeking professional help. You are wise enough to recognize this and admit it. I used to have the same issue on ebay. If i missed out it would bother me. I finally said, there will be more deals and eventually there is. My GF has been a great help to me.
    Ive missed out on wood scores many times, but will reassure myself "there will be more". Like my GF says "its just wood"

    In all seriousness buZZsaw BRAD is right. You are not alone and if you feel it is affecting your life in a negative way do something about it. Some can overcome addictions on their own while others may need a little help. I found myself spending more and more time playing a video game and eventually realised I was wasting way to much time. I was able to just stop playing all together and don't miss it one bit.

    probably more of a hobby than an obsession
    although you might conceivably be having a problem with Facebook Addiction Disorder.
    For that you should seek help.

    If it's affecting other aspects of your life it's an addiction. I had a terrible alcohol addiction that affected my life to the point of jail stints and losing loved ones. I've replaced the alcohol with wood as corny as that sounds. I look at it like this. The wood doesn't make me do things I regret or don't remember doing. Doesn't make me act like an idiot or get mean. Instead of pizzing away money I can turn wood into money. Instead of feeling like crap everyday I feel good and healthy from the work involved. I use one addiction as therapy for another. Hoard on!
