I've read several articles like that over the years.

I had a whole toy chest full of Legos growing up. I owe a lot of my thought processes to playing with legos growing up.

My wife's been on doody duty for a while now. With the snow melting and contractors here, someone had to do it.

Yep, you married a good one :) Here, I'm not getting out there for awhile.... Have to wonder if anticipating the upcoming vacation is helping get it done!

Breakfast with Dad this morning. He has been to the point where he needs someone around 24 hours a day for a while now. But it is my Mom’s decision. She is having someone come in for a few hours three times a week now. She, and we, are hoping for two others to start coming in at different times a few hours at a time Monday through Friday starting next week. Hopefully things will work out.

I’m hoping to get out again today and make more progress on cleaning out that drainage ditch with the M59. It is a good time to do it while the M59 can still travel and sit on top of the snow and not tear up the trail.

I hope your caregivers work out. It's a tough time. Be prepared with plan B for when your mom says she can't do it anymore. Good luck!

Right now I'm basically a wild card, stock work, janitorial duties, general tidying, help out in receiving, you name it. I often get more or less double my scheduled hours cause people call in sick and I answer the phone.

Sounds like I might have something more consistent if go out there. Nothing set it stone yet, but definitely interest on both sides.

Time can be a cruel thing. Though it happens to some people a lot younger, sadly.

Yes. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have them this long. They are both great parents.

I may head out to the cottage today to "check" on things. I just might bring along a piece of dead cow to "check" on the grill while I'm there.

That's a great thing.. think of the positive, your parents both live to 85, still married and still love each other! They just need a little help. That's truly a blessing.. great parents that raised great kids.

    Lol.

No, just that some body's gotta do it, and I was the one that played with Legos as a kid.;)

She's at home most days, and my "chitlist" is stuff she can't or won't do.

There's a lot of talkers, and less do'ers. Your flexibility and willingness to do whatever should set you up well in life. :)
