18 and 78. Supposed to hit 40 today with sunshine. Not sure what happened to the 50’s they were talking about earlier but at least it’s above freezing. It’s still below average but it beats more snow. Friday into Saturday looks like a crap storm but I think it’ll be mostly rain for us. Mountains and north will probably get the snow. Still got the chains on Well Seasoned?
Wait, it starts Thursday and goes through Saturday :picard:

20° now, but temps will climb fast. Today will be about storm prep. I need to pump water out of the pool cover, straighten up all the tarps that were blown askew from the last windstorm, bring some more red maple into the basement, and split and stack the last little bit of sugar maple. Any time left over, I'll rake the yard some more. I'm babysitting tomorrow, so it all needs to happen today. Happy Spring!

Lucky you being able to rake, we have a 30' strip where the snow melted, but is wet and muddy. Not right now, it's frozen solid. The rest of the yard has a good 4" of snow DSCN2165.JPG DSCN2164.JPG DSCN2163.JPG DSCN2162.JPG

I sure do, need to install some new hoses for the loader. I posted in another thread how the protective sleeve must have slid down at some point and lost some rubber on a few hoses. Deep ruts in drive to start mud season here!

Took a peek at the thermometer 20 minutes ago....35! Nice gradual melt going on here-very good!

Snow pack on ground has been depleted to 20" on the ground.....but looks like more at my places. (dang radio)

Made it to the mid 40's yesterday, that was nice.

Probably get a little snow today, but that's OK because its only temporary now!

No yard work here. Still some frost in the ground. The springs in this place makes for slow drying time.

Another warm night around here. It made it down to about -6 c or 20 f, but it's already on the way up again. Forecast for +10 c or 50 f, which is smoking hot for this time of year. Normal temps would be a hair above freezing in the daytime so it's great. Still have a bunch of snow to deal with, but she's going down.

About 12-18 inches in full shade to see the ground in full sun. Average would be 6-10 inches in the partial sun areas.

Hauled out 2 dray loads of logs yesterday. Won't be doing that again for a while as it is too muddy. Funny that the lanes are pretty muddy but just get out of the track and the ground is frozen. But, no sense in tearing things up too much. I do have a few trees that need cutting and they are on high ground so will be getting to them soon.

Also started the annual pruning yesterday but my back won't take that for very long at one time. Think I lasted 20 minutes yesterday.

35F & raining here, got .63 according to the gauge. They predicted less than .25" & didn't predict the 1.5" of snow either, so they were right on. :rofl: :rofl:
