About 3 miles by road, so not bad. 15 min. with the tractor. The sand does tend to dry fairly fast for sure. Makes mud season a bit less daunting, frost doesn't set in it as hard due to the lack of moisture retention.
I checked out the field to our east. Cut in with the atv so won't try with the tractor. Still froze pretty good in the woods but going fast. Quite a bit of water.
Let us hope it is dry like it was 3 years ago. It might be as the water has showed up a bit early this year. Also, thunder in March; dry summer. Of course that doesn't say much about spring... But we've had a couple wet springs in a row so we are due a dry one.
