I am planning to come to the GTG on the 17th. Since I could have some saws that others may not have, what would you like to run? I probably have room for 15-18 saws, I would like to avoid bringing those that others may have. Most are probably interested in larger cc saws and I can bring a few. I will probably bring a couple of bow saws as well. Throw out some ideas and I will see if I can help (I would rather not try to list all the options).

It may be easier to create a list. Below are some ideas to start us off:

    Poulan Pro 655
Poulan 5200 (will have bar and bow)
    Homelite 540
    Homelite 550
    Shindaiwa 757
    John Deere 800
    Echo 900
    Stihl 460
    Echo CST 610 EVL
    Pioneer P-39
    Partner 7000
McCulloch 7-10 (will have bar and bow)

The 5200, JD 800, Echo 900, and the Pioneer P-39 are must brings. There will be at least one example of the evil twin there already but maybe the 66SV if you bring a bat to keep me away from it.

Maybe some examples of old Homelites and McCullough saws that were great runners in their time. A couple bow saws would be extra cool.

I have not had a chance to play with it. I did tinker with my new Homie 550 and got that fired up but it has a sticky recoil.

And here we have the grown men's equivalent of a bunch of teenage girls deciding what they should wear to the dance.

Do you think this saw is okay or is it a little too much?

That looks like a nice saw indeed. Doesn't look too top heavy to balance, probably great for plunge cutting. :zip:
