Finally got out to start skidding some more of the downed Ash trees today. Bit of a long pull to the deck, but we got about 25 out. 20190316_163745.jpg 20190316_153640.jpg 20190316_153636.jpg 20190316_141912.jpg 20190316_141908.jpg

Yes, they're years dead & most were down. Limbs are gone, but they're still solid. Got at least 150 to go.:picard:

Looks like your ground is dryer than here...I left some pretty good tracks driving across grass covered field today...was high ground too.

Took the day off mostly from firewood other than hauling some down to a friend for cooking syrup. Looks like a good day amateur cutter

Ground was pretty good there, sandy loam that's gonna be hayfield this summer. Road was a little sketchy. About a 300 yd pull from where they lay to the deck.
Thanks Hammy , I really love that old M. She'll do a lot of work if ya know how to run the old ones. Takes a bit of patience & planning to be efficient.

Thanks Tom, It looks like the weather may finally start to help instead of hinder here. No rain or snow forecast so I'm hoping the ground stays decent. I've got a ton of skidding to get done before it gets hot & overgrown. Need to quit my day job. :headbang:

Don’t we all, if you do that you need wood for there, we can get some when you move up.

Yep, the "M" is a good tractor. We had one in the late '70's that I drove, pulling a 10' hydraulic lift disc harrow. Fun times.

Nice Adam. How far from your place is that? And yes, it looks drier there. Sand is nice in that it dries a lot faster!
