I have not hunted in years. I think I am going to go in this year though. I have to try to dig up one of my old licenses and see if I can still get a new one with it. I don't know if I can. ?

New York. I know I was not able to get a new bow tag the last time I went to get a new license because the license I found did not have my bow tag on it. But I don't care about that. I just want to go in with the gun.

Oh crap, New York is twisted...Here as long as your not behind on support or a felon your good to buy at anytime. Now even felons have rights to bows and depending on what you did black powder may be open to.

I got out this weekend. Saw 5 does-was about to draw on one that was the size of a small mule but the wind shifted and she proceeded to snort away for the next 10 minutes and educate the rest of the woods :( Grrrr. O well. Next weekend will be all day sits-the bucks usually start moving this week in Indiana.

You can check whitewater SRA on the north end of brookville lake too. You can hunt right outside the camper there too.

No, whitewater is different. Its on the very north end of the lake on the East side. I briefly looked at the online reservations--looks pretty full as far as electric goes. This time of year when the trees are changing, EVERY park is damm near full.

I was just checking out Ohio's Department of Wildlife's web site to see what's up for this year and see that I already missed out on Ohio's new Anterless Muzzleloader season this past 10/12-13. I'm obviously out of the right loops, never heard anything about that being approved. Oh well.............. would have been a great opportunity to try out my new pet load for the 50 cal ......... Blackhorn 209 and Hornady FTX/SSTs. That will have to wait until January now.

I will be out back with my 44 mag playing Dirty Harry "the first Monday after Thanksgiving" waiting for a STT critter to come my way as usual (small, tasty & tender). Any big ones I see I'll just enjoy and let by unscathed. Until then, when I'm not busy CSSSing (cut, split, stack & selling) wood, I'll grap the 1100 and take a little turkey walk out back to see what might be hanging around the back of my woods where they butt up against my neighbors corn fields.
