Dipped down to only 33 overnight! Also, radio says we lost 2" of snow pack since yesterday; we are sitting at 28" now.
Was 41 when. I got up. Currently 49 and possibly as high as 60. Should be in the 50s tomorrow. Then dropping back to the 30s. Still hot some snow to melt but the ground is sloppy enough we won't even drive the 4 wheeler as it would tear the yard up.
Not too shabby this morning, sitting at -8 c or 17 f, which is pretty decent. Should see temps of +4 c or about 39 f later. Stove is sipping on wood instead of running itself to death.
Down in the desert it's always warm but this year has been a bit colder. Yesterday I had a high of 44.4 °F with wind and snow flurries. By contrast, Yuma hit 76.5 °F. I have no idea what the snowbirds are doing being up here in the northland. The only time I really go down to the desert is when I'm flying out of Phoenix.
Looks like we may not hit the 60's as expected today but at least into the 50's. No fire in stove overnight and still 70 when we got up. 72 in here now. Amazed this morning to see almost all the snow gone. Still big patches of ice but that is also getting soft. Just had a thunder shower pass through. Thunder in March; dry summer.
No fire overnite. No fire this AM 68ºF inside and cloudy skies felt chilly, so a pine fire this aft. Maybe just one burn, maybe two. Not supposed to go below freezing tonight and be Spring-like tomorrow. Rather pitiful handful of tiny twigs for kindling starter but it worked as the pine is nice and dry.
Backwoods Savage , amateur cutter , Pallet Pete You guys all doing ok with the Thunder storms and tornadoes ?
Missed us by a long shot. We've had a few rolls of thunder. One time some heavy rain that lasted about 3 or 4 minutes. Other than that all is well here.
Hit with hail stones while Carrying my plunder from Cabela’s to the car. Back in home county and high winds dropping tress across power lines and turning of traffic signals. Getting word of funnel clouds down in Firefighter’s part of the State. Sorry don’t know how to do the orange color name to tag members. Heavy winds still here but all the weak trees are culled I think.
60 degrees on my way home. Now 42. No storms but heavy wind. Yard is drying nicely. Ash keeping it 74 inside.
54* here. Let the fire die for the night. Will probably be firing it up again tomorrow night as our temps are supposed to drop for the weekend. For now it feels like spring. Highs were in the lower to mid 60s today Sourwood just put the @ symbol in front of the name to alert the member. For example, Firefighter Stay safe out there.
Nothing but a few rumbles here either HDRock . Most of the heavy weather went East of us. Only got to about 55 here & very little sun. 1/2 inch of rain for today & no real big winds. 40's tomorrow & 30's Saturday. Pine & Cherry in the boiler. 42F & dropping, snow by morning, but not much.
36 out and 82 inside. Light showers are moving in but it’s supposed to be in the 50’s this afternoon. First night it didn’t get below freezing since last fall sometime.
