Mud season has officially arrived. Inches deep in some places with plenty of snow still to melt. My little dog seems not to care the least if she charges through it at high speed sending mud all over the place including her! :hair:

Mud is beginning to show on the roads but in most places there is lots of frost in the ground.

Our barnyard is a mess, and it is raining today and supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow. I back my bus up the drive so I don't get stuck in the barnyard. Supposed to haul hay Saturday. We'll see on that.

A couple of sections of my snowblown trails have gotten muddy the last few afternoons, but they refreeze at night. Still a good amount of snow and ice in other spots.

It doesn't work that way, Alaska has more mosquitos than anywhere, thick as thieves up there.

They've been surviving the elements for millenia.
If they don't have the skeeters that can hybernate, they've got the skeeters whose eggs/larvae can survive anything nature can dish out.
Even if the weather gets 90% of them there's still 10% ready and willing to make more.
