So, Harley was soooo happy to get the satelite dish off (she had gotten spayed) that she decided to hit the pond. 29 degrees and raining.
Meet Rusty (the red one) and Bentley (the lab). Bentley isn't my dog, he is my neighbors, but he likes to join up when we are cutting. Rusty was born in July and Bentley was born in September. They are best friends! Fiona is the ten year old boxer is in the back. She doesn't like the cold as much, but she will get right up by the chainsaw when it is warm. Rusty will sit right up by the fire and eat the wood in wood basket...that punk!
hello all, I'm new here but have been lurking all winter. This is the first time I've ever joined a forum, I'm sure I'm gonna like it. hadn't plan to join until I came across the firewood dogs thread. I'll try to get her picture up here soon, but I'm WAY better with saws and splitters than computers and smart phones. Have already gained a wealth of tips and knowledge from everyone
Welcome Sandhillbilly. As you probably have notice we like beer, dogs, and pics, lots of pics. The guys and gals are great out here.
This Jake, a black lab. He’s 6 and a great protector of my 3 kids. No one comes in the yard without challenge, if he doesn’t know you.
Ok I think I have figured out how to put up some pictures of Tancy. She will be 5 in August I believe. She has always climbed up on downed trees & piles when I’m out cutting.
I really like the shot of them all sitting in the log chairs. Seems like that would have been similar to hearding cats. Must’ve taken a lot of patience & treats! Love the hound group
Tucker and Ellie. Border Collie and Mountain Cur. Both too smart. Might try to teach em to run the saw.
No dogs here now, but these two scoundrels sometimes “help” while I’m stacking the wood making sure I don’t get attacked by any wild mice, chipmunks or birds. But most of the time they can be found resting up for nap time. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
