My new two saw plan

Always keep a little MS180 with me on the farm to help keep fence rows cleaned out, cut up downed limbs, etc. After reading positive reviews I decided to make room for a new 241C to ride along as well. Have run a couple of tanks so far and am really impressed. Easiest starting saw I have ever owned - usually one pull and seems light and nimble to handle. Attached some pictures to prove it happened.

Nice to see I'm not the only one that putts around in a gator playing with electric fence.

 

I'm jealous! I specifically went to look at the little gem at both of my local places and neither of them had one yet. If I was to theoretically sell my 191T and 024AV that's the way I've been leaning ................... but I need to "heft" its weight and balance and see if what I want is even smaller. I've got a nice 026 sitting there too.

I said it once and I will say it again, you will be surprised when you run the "little" ms241c. I love mine lol.

To me it is more than I expected out of the box as opposed to the 261C and the JReds that took awhile to settle in. Might be because I was not expecting the power that this thing has for such a small saw. Dexter is correct in that he will own one if he ever runs one.

 

I just happened to stop by my dealers shop the same day he received his first one. Made the mistake of handling it and ended up walking out with it.

 

Well mine came new from Snelling with the stock muffler hole opened up a little bit and fish gills on the side. Mind you when I received the saw it probably had just a tank of fuel through it. My first impressions, I was blow away by how stout the saw felt and how good it really pulled. To me it felt like an "out of the box" ripper! Yes it has a muffler mod, but it stihl wasn't broken in yet when I got it. I haven't noticed a huge power gain after 5-6 tanks, but then again maybe the power its putting out is all you gonna get in stock form. I buried the bar in some of my huge oak logs and it just kept chewing. If you push it too too hard, yes it will bog a little and the chain will stop. Don't get me wrong though, you can still push this saw pretty hard.

Since the ms241c, felt so good to me, it got me wondering if the other m-tronic saws were rippers like the 241…… After talking to a few people it didn't seem like they were that good, out of the box. Mind you I only asked members about their 261c's and 441c's. I really like the air filter setups of the m-tronics and wouldn't mind owning another one.

This has been the funnest saw to use that I have ever owned lol. You could cut anything with it until the bar won't get through both sides of the wood lolol. Everyone needs to try one. This saw is now the saw that I will grab all the time unless the wood is too big.

 

Dex, hows the weight of the 362 feel compared to your 441? You must tell us how your saws feel once you get a chance to run them and compare them lol!!!
