Thanks for the input. I picked up a replacement last night. Steel tub. Steel handles. $70. I couldn't see using a dual wheel model on my trail.

Here's mine, :Dbut I've got a black hd poly two wheeler that I got at a garage sale years ago. Heavy plastic tub. I've used it hard for years & no failures yet.

Good choice, should last a long time....would you have got the plastic one if you didn't post this thread?

I have never had any luck with anything plastic used outdoors. I'll stick with the traditional steel tube and wooden handles.

I’m in the same boat with the same poly wheelbarrow from Tractor Supply. In all fairness I have had it for three years and feel like it held up well. This winter I was loading up large splits in temps that were below freezing; and when I threw in a couple of the large oak splits it broke a chunk out of the tub. I thought about putting a piece of plywood in the bottom, but the cracks have spidered out some so I think it’s all done. I think a poly wheelbarrow is great overall but don’t feel it’s a good material in the winter.

In the end, no. I was considering a dual wheel model with a poly tub but decided against the dual wheel option after taking a look at my trails. The 2 wheel model I was looking at just happened to have the plastic tub.
It's a very basic piece of equipment but it's vital to my firewood management. I was half way through splitting and stacking a load of alder when my old one crapped the bed and left me dead in the water. The bearing blew out and when I went to replace the wheel I found that the wood wasn't worth reusing.

I patched ours a couple times with 2x6 and a sheet of galvanized steel, but in the end there was no more patching that could save it..

Yea it probably didn't help mine by leaving it out in the weather. I went back to a good ol single wheel Jackson and I store it inside for the most part now lol

My old rusted wobbly flat tired broken handled wheelbarrow bit the dust. Put it out front with free on it and it was gone in hours....here's my new model 20180730_192222.jpg
