Ran out of wood!! Ash to the rescue!!!!!!

    hated to have to buy a cord of wood when I have over 2 cord in the back.. The pains of not being on the 3 year plan.
    but I am working on getting there..
    all these splits in this cord are huge 20" most splits will be bucked in 2 and some split more. I don't mind tho gives me more reason to break the new 440 in....

    Got 2 full loads in my truck.. Guy said that was a cord

    Um, that's not where you check MC. Split open one of those (or several) and take a reading on the freshly split face.
    Resplit it small-ish for the rest of the winter so it'll maybe dry up a bit faster.

    There is plenty of wood I would prefer to burn over ash, but it seasons quick when you're in a pinch.

    I love ash but it is almost gone here. Still have enough for a few years of burn then no more for a long, long time around these parts.
