Poor little girl :(, stomach flu/norovirus. Little bitty person hanging in there like a trooper. Antinausea this afternoon for her really helped. Read a few books, movies, jello & gatorade coming home tonight with WWW. What else do you guys do to comfort sick little kids?

Thank you friends, can do on all the above :) She's just so sweet and appreciative even while sick, amazing. And she'll get daddy hugs and holding too after work after 5pm here, he's picking up ginger ale and apple juice now too.

Today consisted of doing lots of those little things that need to get done. And driving around to get them done. A few bills paid/mailed out. Truck to garage for oil change and tire rotation. Picked up some groceries and BTUs to supplement my cordwood to get me further into spring shoulder season. And played taxi driver for young ones.

Had a stand of Red Oaks at work that have been slowly dying one by one over the last 10-15 years or so.
This was a 2 stem tree that we took the south half off of probably 5-6 years ago, just as a precaution since it had some crotch rot starting...and it would have hit the power lines if it went down. Well, the rest of the tree is dead now and it has been dropping branches every time we get high wind.
I couldn't just drop it because it was leaning, and weighted the wrong way...and pretty close to high voltage power lines in the foreground.
The power company sent their tree trimmers over to take the top off of 'er for me...I'll drop the trunk this summer sometime.
They said their truck is rated for 70'...he is the whole way up here...so you can see this tree is at least 85'...probably 30" DBH...keep in mind that half the tree is already gone...she's a biggun. Lots of BTU's here. IMG_20190306_092455258.jpg
