Yeah, I’ve got ten years worth of wood to process for three houses. I’m hoarded all right.
Quiet down, I’m getting dressed. Hahahaha
Looks like I’ll have to plow my way in up there too. No nap today.
See if I can get to the trailer anyways.

    That’s the spirit!

How far is this lovely spot from you?

Worth it to drive over there and make sure it’s still there before plowing out the trailer?

EXACTLY. It’s about half an hour drive. Just looked around outside. By the time I get the trailer out and then the log arm is off by itself on the other side of the property. Gotta dig my way into that too. Need a tree limb and the winch to get it on by myself. By the time I get that done it will be dark.
I’m driving up. See what I see. See if I can even get at it with a plow and trailer. I doubt anyone else is going in there with this snow. I’ll keep you folks posted.

Oh so that picture you posted was from before the snow. Can you cut/split on site and load your truck?

So does BL have a greenish tint when freshly cut?
Not much snow up here. Someone’s been picking at it. I want those logs which I think are BL.
    What say the jury?

Oh yeah. Couple pics of some chunks. Some type of hickory? The shag has been snagged.

BL does have a green/yellow look. There is different wood there as well. The jury says....Guilty. Sentence is to be burned for heat. jo191145 you are hereby chosen to execute the sentence.

Why do I feel like the condemned party? Any idea what the womenfolk are gonna say if I drag home another trailer full of logs?
Supposed to be 6 degrees in the morning. You people have ruined me :)

Got it. Meaning I’ll get it.
South Windsor. 443 Rye St in case your interested. Pretty good ride from New Haven tho.
On the bright side I just sent a pic to my sister who is one of the womenfolk around these parts. Explained its supposed to be worth it’s weight in gold. She might meet me there LOL. Maybe I’m not in as much trouble as I thought as long as I dump it in my yard and not hers.

WAAAAAY too far for me, although last Summer i went to a friends in Killingly (he's 70) and cut a truckload of logs for him and a truckload for myself. Drove 1 1/2 hours back with a heaping load of sugar maple/ash/oak in my F150. Quite the sight on 395/ rte2/91!!!

Exit 13??? Drove to Stamford on Easter. Saw a huge pile of wood just to the side of the highway somewhere down there. Looked like it was dumped/stacked on an entrance ramp that isn’t in use. Big chain link fence, Big gate that looked like it was open. Must have been 200 cords worth in there.
Didn’t get a great look I was driving on 95 on Easter and playing offense ;)

I hear ya. I’m not keen on driving up there and load the trailer up like crazy. Cops in this state will pull you over if your sun visor is not adjusted to the proper setting.
FWIW now that I have verification this is BL there was a huge log and a few smaller ones on the Berlin Turnpike. I stopped but didn’t even get out of the truck to look. I imagine there would have been thirty cruiser lined up to arrest me on that strip. :)
