I can recall having done some dumb risky things in the name of having fun. Mine were done in my youth. It is a wonder I survived, but from that I learned a lot. That guy seemed a bit old for that sort of dumb stunt. He wasn't wearing any protective gear.
We've watched a bunch of this guy's videos on his YouTube channel. This is the first I've seen him get nailed. Some of his stuff is very entertaining. That's gotta hurt!
When we were kids we would set up cardboard boxes in the basement for target practice with our BB guns. One time I missed the box and the BB hit the cement block wall behind it and traveled straight back at me 40 feet from the target and hit me square in the Adams apple. It traveled slow enough that I could see its trajectory right back to me but I was not quick enough (or didn't have enough wits) to get out of the way.
When I was a teenager, I worked with a guy in his 40's. He had what looked like a perfectly round cigarette burn scar just off center of his sternum. I asked about it, he was shooting a 22-250 into a junkpile and caught a ricochet center mass. He said he didnt even feel it at first. A tiny piece of shrapnel hit him in the forehead and that was the first thing he noticed.
