I could always label it advertising/promotion or client meeting too. I tried pitching it to the wife that way. I hope the IRS is a little more forgiving.
There you go, consultation services................. lets see................. I've got a cylinder on my hoe needs repaired, a splitter not running well, an 036 to rebuild, my 3400 needs the timing checked, and a Boston Whaler to finish fiberglassing. Between me and the rest of the local gang, we could keep you busy consulting for some time. Of course the NSA will share your license plate info through the NY tolls with the IRS, better come over "86" intstead of "90".
That's going to be the long way around for me. I plan to run 84>80. 86/SR17 (which is very local for me) would take me quite bit farther north than I need to go, remember, I'm in southern NY. If swags wants another splitter at the g2g, I'll bring some Tecumseh junk to get her going. . You just drag the carcass to swags place.
I wish I could go and meet some of you but work is sending me to France on Thursday and for the week after. However I did schedule a stopover in Iceland on the way home to see a friend. So while you guys are running saws and (afterwards) drinking beer I'll just be drinking beer.
I'm gonna take a million pics.. I take to many as it is... Believe me Pete, with the pics and video? You will get the entire experience
Ok so for Saturday night as planned we are having a pig roast. For during the day there will be a lunch stand with chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, coney dogs, and sloppy joes. Also baked goods like cookies and woopie pies, along with snacks and drinks. So lunch and drinks will be available, just bring some cash for that.
And extra cash for other things... Like saws and other related equipment that may be for sale. I have a couple things (chain grinder, 20" Husq bar, and a saw.. or two). I think the grinder will be a giveaway to a person in need of one. It's a Oregon unit. Not the best, but it's much better than a Harbor Freight model.
I'll also have a brand new Stihl saw there for folks to try if they desire! The first in a "shakeup" of my Stihl lineup. Its being delivered by special courier directly to the GTG. I'll have a saw, or two, or three to sell there too. First crack at um by GTG attendees!
Wouldn't happen to be a C model? Coming via a black Silverado? I can't wait to see that thing in action.
My lips are sealed. I guess folks will just have to come to the GTG to find out. (I thought Santa drove a red sleigh?)
Hey guys names Ted, I"m new here but I am friends with carbine and w8ye from other gtgs.I hope to make it to your gtg in N Canton if that's okay.
Hey Ted, welcome aboard! You're definitely welcome to come to the GTG. Contact member Swags above to get his address, he is the host of the event. I gather you are from the area then? Do you have bird dogs, or is their some other story behind that handle?
