I'm just happy that Scotty Overkill isn't 'broken down' any longer.

I am fairly certain that was the thread title yesterday.

Been well. Thanks. Yeah. Kind of an impulse. Just ordered it. Will have to bring it to a GTG so someone can show me how to tune it. Will get a pic when it comes in the mail. :ups:

I assume this is Echo’s answer to the Stihl MS150T

Not sure, but the price and size (as well as my past experience with Echo) led me to make it an easy decision to buy it.

Once I get the mods done, I have a feeling it'll be an impressive little climbing saw

Hope you can make it to a GTG this spring or summer bud!

I tuned mine last night, the limiter caps are very easy to get off, have it running fantastic now and I'll be using it in the tree tomorrow. I'll TRY to get my GoPro set up to film a little clip or two.

I want to run it some as it is stock before doing my modifications to it, just to see what kind of gains I end up getting in the end.

Ive been considering getting a 261 as it has great reviews. Also my local dealer handed me one when i had my MS290 in for a part. I fell in love with it. The 290 powerhead weighs more than the 261 with bar and chain. Matter of fact ive been meaning to post a thread for it here...nows the time.

I got to run a brand new 261cm at 10,000 feet in Colorado last summer... The auto tune process was quick and it was a pretty easy saw to run for hours at a time. It had a weird chain that had a cutter that was a little over half the width of the kerf... been meaning to look into what the advantages or disadvantages of that chain were.. haven’t gotten around to it yet... Also ran the same friend’s 362 on a ranch in Texas... I’m sold on both saws... time to to make a sales pitch to the wife!!!

Well, no hiding this one from the wife. Got home and this was sitting on my office chair as it was packaged for shipping...

I am well. Thanks for asking. Been trying to get outside as often as I can to fight off cabin fever, and staying busy between that, wife and kids stuff, and work. I was about sick of winter by the end of January , and that seems to get earlier every year! LOL Took a little computer and cell phone down time for a few weeks a bit ago. Tried to use them much less anyway, as little as possible. We have been having some pretty cold temps and bad weather for working outside much though. Oh well. We will all enjoy spring that much more when it gets here.

How are you and the family?

I can’t 100% guarantee it, but I’m going to try to make it. I may even try one of those bottles of drinks the call “beer”. I’ve been meaning to do that.
