Thank you. No, our main house...white pine timber frame, built in 1993. Heat mainly with Hot Blast furnace in basement, and the DutchWest on the main level fired up when temps are below zero.

imagejpeg_0(12).jpg First off my wife absolutely hates my beard with a passion! :D:rofl: :lol:Soooo...... she didn't find it to funny when I sent her this picture the other day. Me and Scotty Overkill were out doing a pine tree, it was 9 degrees with the wind.

The caption that I sent to her was, "see it keeps me warm and catches the saw chips!"  I also said if it wasn't for the beard all thise saw chips would've went right down the front of my shirt! 20190305_171335.jpg

    6. Russia used to have a Beard Tax
This fact is a bit historical, but it’s still pretty weird! A few centuries ago, in 1698, Emperor Peter I implemented a beard tax in Russia in an attempt to enforce a ban on the long and hairy facial hair that many sported.

Men would have to pay a tax in order to sport a beard, and if they couldn’t pay, the Russian police would forcibly and publicly shave all of the men’s beards. The reasoning behind this? The Emperor wanted Russia’s men to look more like Western European models
