this stove showed up on Craigslist a couple of weeks ago. Listed for $100 because it was non functioning. Had some time today to run take s look. Man what a mess. Combustion blower was already removed by a stove technician who was gonna try to repair it but my guess is that he gave up on that plan the more he dug into the stove. No block off plate installed and water ran down and into exhaust chamber. It’s completely rusted out as is the top of the stove itself to the point that you can see into the hopper. Obviously not fixable but it had some good salvageable parts. Hoping I can use most of them as replacements on my cb1200 free standing when needed.

Stove is a 2011. Gave him $50 for it. I think I can use most everything but the convection blower. 1st pic is of the fan from my freestanding cb. It’s 3000rom and 1.1 amp and made by Jakel. 2nd is from the insert which is 2300rpm and .93 amps and made by Huayi

Correct....the freestanding uses the "2 speed" blower and the insert the regular. That one will fit the Castile, Santa Fe and such.

Quad changed their suppliers, as you can tell by the other blower. Not impressed with them. I changed out my blower motor on my Santa Fe, so I could clean it and oil it as it was making noises. The new "supplier" fan doesn't move as much air as the old one. kap

It's odd they would engineer to a certain cfm then cheap out with a new vendor. At least the new stuff should run the same as the old :picard:
